TL;DR:
Me(17m) and my gf(17f) have been together for a year and 8 months. The other day I mentioned the idea of trading tiktok accounts, which she was okay with and told me not to mess anything up on her account. After sharing accounts I got bored and got the idea to check her liked videos out of curiosity. Everything was fine until I saw multiple videos that she liked showing obvious thirst trap edits of other men including celebrities an models as well as the same type of edits but with anime characters and one of them was an edit with the word “ride” in the middle of the screen which (I already know what that implies).
What really bothered me was the fact that some of these men looked nothing like me. So of course I got angry about it and mentioned it to her, asking her why she’d like all of those videos(there were about 10-12 of them) and she told me she didn’t recall liking any of these videos but I honestly don’t believe her. So with me feeling insecure, pissed, and somewhat jealous, I told her how I felt and she was very apologetic but I just didn’t want to talk to her and we haven’t spoken since. I wouldn’t put this in the category of cheating and I even wondered if I was going too far with what I had seen and if it’s not that big of a deal. Prior to us dating we had even made a boundary that we weren’t okay with things like celebrity crushes. I thought about just ending things but maybe I’m overreacting to the situation.
