Doppler at 10 weeks

I am a little over 10 weeks and have been trying the Doppler since 8 weeks. I have only been able to find the heartbeat twice. Once at 9w1d, and then again at 9w4d and this was after multiple attempts and at least 30 mins of searching. I don’t look every day, once every 2-4 days and it’s been a hit or miss. Usually a miss. Yesterday I had the bright idea to try again because at 10 weeks i assumed I’d definitely be able to find baby with somewhat of an ease. Well that’s not what happened. I tired in the morning for about 30 mins and found nothing. Tried again in the afternoon for an hour and once again nothing. My OB showed me how to use a Doppler with my first, and I consistently used it with her and my second child. I’m not a first timer when it comes to the Doppler and I looked absolutely everywhere. I tried empty bladder, full bladder, gel, lotion, propped up on pillows, flat on back, etc. and there was nothing. At this point I was beside myself because with my last 2 kids I was consistently able to find them by 10 weeks and on. Fortunately my OB is extremely understanding and got me in the evening for an ultrasound. Everything is fine. The baby is perfect. Needless to say I’m putting my Doppler away until closer to 12 weeks, but has this happened to anyone else? I thought since it’s my 3rd id have an easier time finding this baby but that hasn’t been the case. My OB said the placenta is developing in the posterior position, so there’s no placenta blocking baby. How is it that I was abele to find my other 2 kids at the 8 weeks point and consistently by 10, but can’t find this one at over 10 weeks.

And yes I know Dopplers aren’t recommended by some medical professionals. My OBs have told me it’s fine to use with every pregnancy and recommend it, if it helped me. My OB this time has a home prenatal care program where they teach you how to use a Doppler and give you one to take home, along with a blood pressure cuff, so you can do your own prenatal care at home from 12 weeks and on.

Referred to high risk over chemical pregnancies

I am currently 10w pregnant with our 3rd baby. I have a history of loss which includes 3 chemical pregnancies, and 1 ectopic. A few days ago I had my first official prenatal appointment. The OB waltzes in and says “I got you some extra goodies” and proceeded to tell me that I’ll be seeing a high risk specialist at 12 weeks for an early anatomy scan, and then at 20 weeks because of my history of loss. My husband was very appreciative as it meant we’ll get an extra ultrasound, but I was upset because my anxiety has actually been pretty low this pregnancy, I was cruising along, and then I heard “high risk” and it made me wonder….am I supposed to be worried?? My losses have always been as a result of late implantation and all happened under 5 weeks (besides the ectopic). Anytime I got a positive at 13+dpo I knew it was going to be a chemical pregnancy. The ectopic was a fluke after getting my copper iud removed. Has anyone else been sent to the high risk people over a couple of chemical pregnancies? I feel like my OB made this out to be a big deal and I’m upset that I got sent to the high risk people. I just feel like all of this is unnecessary

I am almost 9 weeks. Had an ultrasound at 6w3d, one the day before yesterday, and will have another one on Tuesday for my first prenatal appointment. They’ve look great. The last 3 days I’ve been waking up to horrendous digestive cramping and needed to jump out of bed to book it to the bathroom. Yesterday morning I almost didn’t make it. After the morning diarrhea session my stomach is fine and I don’t have any issues for the rest of the day. I know constipation is common during pregnancy, but what about diarrhea? Is this something to be concerned about?
