I have suspected pulpitis following trauma to my right front tooth. What can I do?

Incident occured on March 16th when I bit down on a fork too hard. RCT was advised with a follow-up appointment in three weeks time to check it and decide on the final course of treatment. Currently experiencing sensitivity to sweets, intermittent toothache and facial pain, headaches, ear pressure/soreness and subtle jaw inflammation all on the same side as the problematic tooth. Symptoms are very much in line with TMJ/sinusitis. I’m really concerned about the possibility of an infection or abscess, I can't see anything inside my mouth but this is just really uncomfortable. The clinic are unable to see me any sooner than scheduled unless I’m in significant pain, where they said they’d try to find a slot for me. I wouldn’t call it significant pain, more just bothersome and worrisome. I don’t suppose anyone is able to advise? Even with regard to the root canal, should I get a crown put on afterwards? How quickly will it turn grey? Sorry for all the questions, just filled with anxiety at the moment.

Anyone else frustrated with the lack of aftercare once you’re recovered?

It just feels like there’s this huge gap between ‘getting your period back’ and then trying to figure out how to live normally again with regard to food, weight and exercise.

The support out there is brilliant, especially Nicola Rinaldi’s book, but it doesn’t really feel like there’s anything focused on post-recovery life.

As someone who dealt with HA in the UK, it felt like the NHS saw getting my cycle back as the finish line. There’s no roadmap for how to proceed, and I’m left with tons of unanswered questions relating to healthy weight loss, exercise habits and calorie intake.

I see so many women like myself on this sub struggling with body image, eating habits and mental health (pre & post-recovery), that I can’t say I’m surprised when people feel discouraged and want to revert back to their old ways. Myself included…

I don’t suppose anyone has found anything that’s been particularly useful in supporting maintenance of recovery but also support for the other aspects mentioned above.

Sorry to be negative, I just figured it was worth asking! Sending love <3
