Hey all, I am seeking some advice on what MacBook to get for my mom. I am quite techy, but I am an android and linux user so Macs are not my area of expertise. However, my mom uses iPhone and Mac now, and for her use and preference, I respect the strengths of Mac and feel it would be better for her. My question is, should she get the Neo or Air? Her use case seems ideal for the Neo, emails, spreadsheets, the occasional light photo editing is all she does. The only thing that makes me hesitate to recommend the Neo is the 8GB of RAM and low tier CPU for a laptop. It seems it is definetly sufficient for this use case today based on reviews I have watched, but my mom has kept her last Mac for 10 years, a 2015 13 inch air. The Neo is enough today, but will it be enough in 10 years, or is the Air a worthwhile step up considering she wants it to last that long again?
