Chair Sleeping
My LO is 16 weeks (3.5 months) and I’m 99.99% sure we’ve hit the 4 month sleep regression. He’s also got reflux so bedtime has been… fun /s. Last night, every time I put him on his back to sleep, I’d hear/see him start choking on his reflux and I’d pick him back up to try to help whatever it is move down. Around midnight, I got to a point where I was exhausted (1 week of terrible sleep had me on the edge). So, I said F it. Took baby and myself to the nursery, sat in my nursery chair, leaned it all the way back, and we slept chest to chest. That was the best/ least interrupted sleep I’ve gotten since bringing him home. He only woke up twice to eat then right back to sleep. Now I am questioning if I should do that again. I know they say sleeping in a recliner is more dangerous, but he stayed on my chest and I felt every movement he made (which wasn’t a lot). Is recliner sleeping really that bad if it keeps my mental sanity? lol
Update to add: thank you everyone! I am looking into the resources mentioned in the comments and will be setting up a reclined position in bed. I appreciate all of your help!
