Struggling to feel at home after living abroad

A lot of people in Hong Kong go to International schools and often move back home after sometime. Which was a case for most of my classmates. And so did I. But somehow, I find myself in this weird position where I’m obviously a foreigner in Hong Kong, yet feel out of place in my home country as well.

I also encountered a bit of a struggle in making friends because a big chunk of my teenage years passed in Hong Kong so it’s difficult to relate to my peers back home. Despite the fact that I have built a life and made some new friends, none of them have ever lived abroad so can’t relate to certain experiences I’ve had It’s a big world, so I’m sure I’m not the only one in this situation, but it does feel isolating at times
