AE1200 in a W221H case, with partial negative.

This is my second modded watch. I had some left over parts from my first case swap and I wanted to experiment with polarizing filters. Its hard to get clean transitions between colors or positive/negative zones when you don't have a faceplate to hide behind.

The AE1200 module fits perfectly in the W221H case, WITHOUT the faceplate. But, since the W221H case buttons are not spring loaded, it is very tricky to actually get it in. The pushers want to fall inwards and block the contact tabs. I used a needle to move the parts around, but it takes very careful positioning to get it in.

My first watch in more than 25 years!

I liked the big numbers of the W221H module, but not the square case with all the text. So I installed it in a AE1200 case and removed all the text. I added a strip of green tint across the time digits only to break up the large screen. Now it doesn't look like a heart rate monitor or a smart watch anymore. The green strap is a cheap Amazon elastic that I modified to make the adjustment slide end up close to the watch body. Normal bands put the buckle right on my wrist tendon and are uncomfortable when typing and resting my wrist on a desk. Now there is continuous band with no hardware on the bottom. This band is extremely comfortable with such a lightweight watch.

Side note, how are you guys getting good photographs of watches? I had a terrible time getting good lighting without reflections on the lens.
