Thermal splashback mitigation with Eotech

I have a Sig CV25 thermal that I’m using in conjunction with an Eotech EXPS. Because the Eotech isn’t tube shaped like most LPVO’s, mitigating the thermal screen’s splashback of light on the Eotech’s body isn’t easy. I realize this is such a niche problem that there probably isn’t a product out there already meant to solve this. Has anyone else dealt with this and figured out a solution that isn’t cobbled together trash?

I seem to remember there being a rubber “collimator hood” that was used with the PVS-24 family of clip-on night vision units that worked with one of the Eotech EXPS/XPS’s, but I can’t find any record of that via google images.

What to look for in high end eye protection?

I’ve always had better than 20/20 vision, and don’t mind spending money (if it’s worth it) to maximize my capabilities while protecting my eyes. I’m wanting to upgrade from some cheaper WileyX eye protection I bought like 10 years ago and I’m wondering what makes some eye protection “premium/high end” over the cheaper stuff? What features are nice to have? Wouldn’t mind recommendations, but please say why you’re recommending it (based on features, build quality, clarity, etc) instead of just saying, “I like my Oakley M frames!” without context.

For the record, I own a thermal, so I’m assuming polarized lenses are probably out due to the thermals screen potentially not playing well.
