I'm a self-employed consultant and the IRS sent a notice saying I underpaid by $6,200 on my 2024 return even though I have all the 1099s and expense logs. Every time I respond with documentation they send back a new letter asking for the same things in slightly different wording and the balance keeps growing with penalties. The phone line is impossible to get through and the online portal just loops. I'm looking for something that can compile the full response package, submit it through the right channels, follow up persistently, and actually get the notice resolved without me losing more nights to this. Has anyone found a tool that handles these IRS back-and-forth nightmares?
