Hi all! I've been the happy owner of a Vox AC10C1 since July 2019, and I've really enjoyed playing on it. I'm a bedroom and occasional rehearsal room guitarist. Lately I've been under the impression that the dynamic response wasn't as snappy as it used to be, and that the treble wasn't as clear either. So I was wondering if the preamp tubes are starting to age? If I do the math I think I'm still far below the expected lifetime of a preamp tube (Some weeks I'll play half an hour every day, but sometimes 3 months will pass by without turning on the amp). But I drive the preamps a lot more than the power tubes given that I usually play at low volume but still am enjoying that crunch. So I was curious to know if anyone here had a similar experience, and whether it's the tubes or my ears that are aging.
Thanks!
