Limits for Live Camera View and Grok
Hey y'all,
Learning the last couple of days that Tesla now imposes limits on at least these two features, regardless of whether you pay for premium connectivity, and regardless of whether you're on LTE or wi-fi. Real bummer, but I do understand that these things cost money to operate. Grok will allow 10 minutes or so of use per day and live camera runs out in about 15 minutes. Both of these are painful depending on the use case.
Wanted to get everyone's opinion on ways that Tesla could solve this problem. I think if premium connectivity is a paid service that the price should reflect unlimited access to Grok and the live camera. The downside there is a lot of people probably don't use these features (or at least don't use Grok) and would dislike any price change to premium connectivity.
I assume you can bypass the Grok limit by paying for SuperGrok, though I can't imagine that being worthwhile for folks who just want to use it for ease of navigation. Would be nice if the live camera was at least available for an unlimited time if you were streaming over wi-fi, but maybe this is being streamed from a Tesla server of some kind and not directly from the car.
