Worsted/Aran weight sweater with giant, gaping holes?
Am I overthinking this…?
I’ve cast on for the Everywear Sweater by Blue Sheep Knitwear to use my package of Plymouth Tweed. Blocked the swatch and met gauge on us 7/ 4.5 mm for 17 sts over 4 inches. Overall I’m enjoying working with it and I think the drape is lovely.
But when I see light coming through the stitches like this my brain asks “how will that be warm, wind will whip right through it!” Especially when gauge with thinner yarn like socks, the weave is much tighter due to the smaller stitches.
Am I being nutty, or does your fabric look like this too?
