28M, MBA Done, friends moved, how do i make new friends in Bangalore ?
Came to Bangalore in 2021 for my MBA, finished it in 2023, and then slowly watched my entire social circle disappear like a free trial ending 💀
One by one, everyone moved back home or to different cities for work… and now I’m still here. Bangalore hasn’t changed, but somehow it feels way more… empty.
I do have colleagues, but let’s be honest — colleagues are not your real friends. They’re just people you complain about work with, not people you build a life with. (Yes, I said it. Fight me.)
I’d say I’m a pretty chill guy overall — not socially awkward, not overly extroverted — just somewhere in the middle. But lately, it does get lonely sometimes.
So yeah, just wanted to ask:
- How do you actually meet new people here as an adult?
- Does anyone else feel this weird “post-college social vacuum”?
- And how do you go from knowing people… to actually having friends again?
- Anyone here want to connect ? 😅😂
Because right now, it feels like I upgraded my degree but downgraded my social life 😅
