Getting attitude from a doctors surgery after THEIR mistake.
So I woke up to a random text this morning with an appointment for a doctor's surgery over a 100 miles away. I am waiting on an appointment for a clinic so I thought this might be it. By the time I saw the message it was past the appointment time and they had given 2 hours notice of said appointment. I am unable to call out at the moment so I sent them an email explaining that I had only just seen the message and that I live over 100 miles away. I looked up the place and it's just a random gp and figured it must have been a wrong number, so I didn't think much of it. At least I had alerted them to the missed appointment.
I've just checked my email and I received a rather snotty message about how I wasn't even a patient with them so they wouldn't be able to make an appointment for me anyway with like 3?
I replied basically saying that I was aware of that, and that I figured it was a wrong number and didn't want whoever the patient was that the message was meant to be penalised for missing an appointment they were unaware of. I also included a screenshot of the message I received which contains the details for the doctors surgery.
I get it, mistakes happen, but don't come in here giving me attitude for a mistake YOU made.
I text my sister asking if I could borrow a fiver because I miscalculated and ran out of a few essentials and don't get paid until Friday. She text me back saying she had sent me a tenna just to make sure I had a buffer. I've done the same for her many times, don't get me wrong, but it was a really sweet gesture that means alot, she's not exactly flush herself. We didn't get on as kids and early adults, but we got over our shit and are now best friends. I wouldn't be with her.
So, it's really a sister appriciation post, but we're British so it counts. right? Lol
