So we all know that Jurassic World is technically a Christmas movie, right? It takes place during the winter season as we can see from the opening when the kids are getting packed into the car to go to the airport. "Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas" plays and the airport is crazy

We can excuse the house not being decorated because they either dont celebrate Christmas or the impending divorce has left neither parent wanting to decorate, but thats not my problem.

They deliberately told us this movie takes place during the Christmas season, yet Jurassic World is not decorated for the holiday.

"But OP it's a tropical resort" I have been on cruise ships with christmas trees. To have a major tourist attraction not decked out to with christmas lights and goofy Santa hats on the skeletons is just unbelievable. It was really distracting during my first watch in 2015, but now I question why they made that decision.

Nothing else in the movie references Christmas, so why did they make the decision to have the opening scene be like that? They could have set it during spring break or summer vacation.

For years I have watched Sea Shepherd post Ai generated content on their various alternate accounts, but never had I seen it on their main. That changed today. I find it incredibly hypocritical for self proclaimed "activists" to use Ai as we all know how damaging it is to the environment.

For years I've seen not only Sea Shepherd but other "animal rights" giants, like Peta, lean heavily into AI generation. But its not just them. Groups like "Feed the Belugas" use Ai generated photos in the majority of their content.

This does not help animals. It harms them.

Do not support groups that use AI.

Hello I'm an amateur voice actior in the Halo Machinima community. For the past year I've gotten a number of roles, most of which I adore; but there's a special handfull that I've obsessed over to the point I'm writing fanfiction. The creators of the series/characters are excited and I'm happy I have their blessing. One even had me help them write a romance arc for my character and their love interest for season 2 of their series.

So I have to ask? Am I in the minority? Who else makes fan content of their beloved roles?
