Is there a way to see my glasses prescription on the health first website.

Long story short glasses broke after five years. Planned to buy glasses on line. Went into glasses place that offers eye exams been there before.

Walked in saying I only wanted the exam and prescription, everything okay until after exam. Forced to get cheap frames with my Health first/ Medicaid insurance.

They refused to give me my prescription until my glasses arrive in two weeks.

I know illegal but I still wanna buy glasses online without having the long wait. How do I find my eye prescription?

PSA: Do not go to Eye design optical on Westchester under the train.

Those people have scammed me and other as well.

Five years ago I went to them for a new pair of glasses, and spent $300 dollars for transition lenses. After being told I had astigmatism, that wasn’t a problem at the time.

Yesterday the arm of my glasses suddenly broke and I decided to buy glasses online as it would save me money and would arrive sooner. Well today I call and explained that I only want the prescription the lady on the phone says she can do that. I go in and clearly tell everyone I met.

“I only want the exam and prescription no glasses.”

The eye doctor only spent like 5 minutes with me doing the whole 1 or 2 with the letters. Once done with the doctor I get called up and told to pick from the bottom shelf. I told the lady I only wanted the prescription and she repeats to pick from the bottom shelf. This was the same lady I met the moment I walked in so she knew what I wanted but still forcing me to chose glasses.

Sadly I don’t do confrontation but god if I could go back I would make the biggest scene scream and demanded.

I get told that I can get my prescription in two weeks once my glasses are done, mind you the glasses I don’t even want. Because they don’t have the tint I need because I didn’t want to spend another 300 dollars. So I chose some cheap ass feeling frames tried them on and gave it to her.

Turns out it’s illegal for them too withhold your prescription. I am legally entitled to my prescription on demanded or not. So now I gotta waste two weeks with my broken glasses to get a piece of paper to buy the glasses I actually want.

They did this because I have Medicaid and health first they scammed me out of my one yearly eye exam. If I knew I would’ve gone some where else. And I am not the only person they did this took. This google review is from five months ago and this woman had the same shit done one her as me and worse.

If you wear glasses and live in the Bronx avoid this place as much as possible they will take you money and refuse to give you your medical record.

Should I go back to college?

So I 22F am thinking about going back to college. I went to college right out of high school for two years getting an Associate’s degree in Animation and motion graphics. I then went onto a 4 year college for a bachelor in Tv and movies but I dropped out in my 2nd or 3rd semester because of burnout.

I went onto job searching for a year before becoming my father’s home health Aid at 21.

I make about 350 a week and only work 21 hours a week.

I tried going into security and did land a position with a company but I didn’t last do to miss communication that lead to be quitting on my first day.

Now I’m stuck trying to figure out what to do. I could try another training program and learn to draw blood or take x-rays. But I’m not to interested in doing either of those.

I’m am think about going back for Speech pathology. It’s high in demand and seems to pay well. However it’s gonna take about 2-4 years to get my degree.

I just want some other opinions about this as I’m not sure where to go.
