I got my childhood Elizabeth a Felicity🥹💜💗

I got Elizabeth for Christmas 2006, when I was 8 🥹 I recently unpacked her from my mom’s attic and I’m so proud of little me for taking such good care of her. She’s in nearly perfect condition and I didn’t lose any of her original pieces (except one of her gold holiday slippers🥲). A few months ago, I picked up a Felicity in a big bundle, (she’s also complete with all of her pieces!) from Facebook Marketplace, and finally got around to restoring her. I wish I took a before pic because her hair was a bit rough! It makes my inner child happy to see these girls together, I just had to share 🫶

My dog (F, 10lb, Mini poodle, 8yo) got out a couple nights ago while we’re visiting family out of state (away from our vet). While she was missing she was likely running through woods/brush overnight. This morning, one of her eyes was very crusty with discharge. I gently cleaned it, and she seems okay otherwise, but the eye is still producing yellowish goop. She was rubbing at her eyes at night and in the morning but has been fine since I cleaned her up.

I’m picking up an eye wash and lubricating eye gel, are those generally appropriate to try in a situation like this? (Eye rinse once, and lubricant a few times a day is what I was told by a vet on Pawp app).

I contacted my regular vet too and her advice was to seek out a local vet ASAP to check for an eye ulcer. I looked up photos and her eye doesn’t look injured like that. Could this be that serious?

We’ll be back home May 3 and if we need to, we can see our regular vet then, but I’m trying to figure out the best thing to do to prevent any major problems for our baby.
