Sarah got her green princess dress!

Not mint, but it still gives the vibes, and it is such incredible quality! She has her jeans underneath in case she needs to run home in the rain.

Midwest Gaming Classic gem found

I was on the hunt for so many things at this convention that had nothing to do with AG, but it always finds me somehow. When I saw this I knew I needed it. Thankfully I have two working DS systems so I can actually play this.

healing my inner child 🥹🌸

as a birthday gift to myself, i bought the doll i've been wanting since i was 5 years old. my sister introduced me to american girl dolls when i was very young, but i was never allowed to get one because my parents only let me have "boy toys". i always looked past the stereotypes and decided to chase the things that made me happy. 15 years later, i bought my favorite GOTY doll. she was in rough condition so i sent her to the doll hospital, which is another thing ive always wanted to do. she arrived back today and im so in love, i really cant get over the fact i have this doll now. as i turn 20 in 2 days (the 27th), i just wanted to tell myself, happy birthday!

Claudie and dark skintones

Hello, I'm new here but part of the AG world for 30 years. I'm an adult collector, I also repair and put doll parts together to make new dolls (nothing super fancy like some of the custom dolls I see online though!).

I have just discovered Claudie 🥰 and I have a question I wonder if anyone can help with. I see that Claudie has her own face mold. Does anyone know if she is darker-skinned than the other Historical dolls?

For example, if I put Claudie's head on, say, Melody's body, would it work? Does anyone know about variations in darker skin coloring in American Girl dolls?

What a girl wants 👧🏻

Have had this screenshot saved on my phone for a while. Debated about sharing it as well because I know it’s a dream that isn’t going to happen. Anywho, here is a collab I wish for, she’s adorable! I’ve read Pixar is celebrating a 40th Anniversary too this year. Lindsay Bergman as Bonnie 🩷

“You don’t have to be the loudest in the room to enjoy life… you just have to let yourself be in it.”

Woke up to the princesses yelling,

“IT’S SATURDAY!!!!! LET’S GET LITTTTTT” in unison.

I couldn’t believe my eyes… they had already laid out new outfits.

Next thing I know… we’re blasting music, changing outfits every 5 minutes,

and Cinderella is yelling from the Cardboard Prison…

“IF I HAVE TO HEAR ONE MORE SONG WITHOUT ME—”

I ran over to check on her and she goes,

“Angel… I can’t even turn up in here… this is a royal violation.”

I said,

“Cindy… please. You’re on house arrest until June 21st.”

She goes,

“How many days is that again?”

“57…”

“Still????”

“Yup….”

“This is NOT what my fairy godmother meant.”

———————————

Meanwhile, the bears were trying to act calm…

but I knew they wanted to join.

One of them looked at me and said,

“Angel… we don’t really do this kind of thing…”

I smiled and said,

“You don’t have to be the loudest in the room to enjoy life… you just have to let yourself be in it.”

They looked at each other… a little nervous… a little excited.

And slowly… they joined in.

And before I knew it… everyone was laughing.

Even the quiet ones.

Love,Angel

No better price than free…

…except “free with leg”! 😆 We went to a community garage sale this morning at a local school. Lots of people with clothes, books, and toys. I found this PC GT7 on a table, unable to even sit up because one of her legs has popped off. Luckily, my FAVORITE thing to do is fix up dolls, so home she came! I haven’t started working on her just yet, but I will soon.

who is this?

bought this girlie off of one of the AG facebook groups. seller said the wig is not original to the doll. her ears are pierced. she needs a LOT more TLC than i was expecting so i’m debating sending her to the doll hospital… does that cost extra to ship her there? would they even take her since she doesn’t have an original AG wig? i think she needs a whole refurb TBH

Early 2000s Gap Girl and Tommy hilfiger American girl accessories?

I bought some American girl things second hand and I am unable to identify if these accessories are real American girl. I believe it’s early 2000s because the complete urban outfit of the 2000s was there.

Please share your wisdom, google lens is no help! Thanks!

Rare FB Find that got away :(

GUYS IM SO SAD 😭 I found this really amazing listing at my local facebook marketplace for a Josefina trunk that was brand new and was still in its original box. The seller stated that he got it back in the 90s and never opened it since.

I was in talks with the seller for weeks and finally when I got the money and was talking to the seller last night as this was a birthday gift for myself, he went ahead and sold it.

I know that is the nature of FB Marketplace sellers but I’m so sad and mad that the seller wasn’t honest and didn’t disclose. It was a dream item and to find one that is in amazing condition is like finding a unicorn.

Anyone had a similar experience with a fb find that got away?

Pierced Courtney’s Ears!

My 5/64 drill bits came in the mail and I finally did it! It was even easier than I had anticipated! Another user from this group recommended I use an awl to make a starter spot which was infinitely helpful.

I used another doll as a guide for where to put the holes. The drill went in super smoothly, and I didn’t experience too big of a drop when it went through to the hollow part which I had been worried about.

The earrings were a little tough to get in after, but they will be left in for a few days to let the vinyl harden/ stretch around them, so it was good I knew they’d be like that beforehand so I didn’t make the hole any bigger! I also pierced my truly me 28.

It was super fun and I’m glad I did it! If you’ve been waiting for the push to try something a little ‘scarier’ for your dolly diys, I say go for it!!

One of these sticker books pis**d me off

I was shopping online recently (not AG site) and needed to hit an order total for free shipping, so I got two of these AG sticker books. The one on the right Has more Beforever images and the one on the left came later. The one on the left is smaller, however, I liked doing it so much better. Each doll is one complete sticker, and much easier to match to the space on the page without any of the background peeking through. This book was great fun though, plus not as much flipping as the other one.

The book on the right had separate stickers for the different parts of each doll's outfit. While it's a neat concept, they couldn't be bothered to cut out the limbs. The skin tones don't match due to the lighting differences of the stock photos and the book. Matching up the limbs is SO hard. You can remove and replace the stickers if you are careful, but also, I am an adult. I kept getting annoyed because even when I tried to match one limb up exactly, another one would then be off. If I was a child, I imagine I would have been even more enraged, as I was a very scrupulous child who wanted perfection in any activity book she got.

Oh, and some tiny accessories or super small parts of items were separate stickers that I almost missed. Dizzy Dot's bow, Mele's collar, I nearly missed because they were already on the big main sticker. That was really annoying, and I breathed a sigh of relief when I discovered that Steps High's fringed saddle blanket wasn't an additional sticker I would have to try to match with the image on the book page.

There are some repeated stickers throughout the two books, but I really don't mind that. I used the bonus stickers to create "want" and "have" pages in my own personal sticker collection book. Having repeats also means you don't necessarily have to worry if you tear up one of the bonus stickers on accident.

Both sticker books are high quality, the paper is good and you can peel stuff up carefully if you need. I only tore a few stickers slightly, and very rarely did I have any stickers that weren't fully die-cut and had paper bits on them.

Overall these do make cool gifts of you have an AG fan in your life, or at least one who isn't super particular about matching up stickers exactly. The smaller book retails for $6.99 and the larger one for $12.99.
