Another Heater Hose Connector Quick Q

Hey all, after getting my G37, a friend told me about the plastic heater hose connector to replace with aluminum connector (which is crazy because my G35 has 165k on it, and I never changed the thing) I guess I got lucky.

My question is, can you just swap this thing out without having to mess with the bleeding/burping/draining/adding of the coolant after. I've watched a few videos and articles and (I've never done a coolant change before).

In this video the guy replaces it, but then bleeds/adds coolant afterwards, while in some other videos I see people just replacing the connector and not touching anything else and calling it a day.

What should I expect and/or do when changing this connector? Just trying to limit the amount of surprises.

Just picked up another low mileage Infiniti G35S/G37S Sedan (2013) for around $14k with 67k miles on it. I didn't haggle with the guy at all, wondering if I got a good deal or not. (as I've been searching for another low mileage 6MT Sedan for the past 3 years).

The car is basically in mint condition, all maintenance performed at the required intervals (oil changes on time, coolant hoses replaced/flushed at 45k miles, transmission and rear differential fluids replaced at 45k. Slave cylinder replaced at 45k with CMAK external slave, whiteline rear differential bushing replaced at 55k miles), no rust, never seen winter in the last 5 years with the following modifications to it.

  • Bell Raceworks rear differential brace
  • Hotchkis sway bars
  • Z1 lower radiator shroud/oil pan
  • Z1 intakes
  • Z1 H-pipe
  • Nismo Midpipe
  • Tanabe axle back
  • Swift lowering springs

I still have my 08 G35S Sedan 6MT with 165k miles on it and it's going strong with emissions shit wrong with it at the moment, but all new front suspension and a body beat up like hell. I don't think I can part with it just yet and don't feel like selling it fro 2-5k is even worth if it I can get more than 200k miles out of it still.

Hello, I have some questions about how bizzarre this is or it is common in any way... I am so confused as to what is going on.

I recently filed a claim for hit and run (near December 2025) and another accident within a few months after where I was at fault where I minor hit somebody's bumper backing out.

My insurance premium which I renewed (January/Feb 2026) after the accident was $1100 for the year. Which I paid in full, and was rate-locked. I already paid for it, and I was covered until January 2027.
Vehicle 1 (auto 2008 estimate value of $2500) $460 (full coverage was $860, and after the hit and run, the liability was around $460)
Vehicle 2 (motorcycle full coverage) $360
Vehicle 3 (motorcycle full coverage) $150

FYI (this is a rough breakdown of the vehicles, so it's not an exact matchup)

I just recently purchased a vehicle (estimated value 12-14k vehicle 2013), which I had added to my policy as full coverage.

My insurance premium for the year went from $1100 to $5500
Vehicle 1 (auto) now $1500 (still liability from the previous $460... tripled)
Vehicle 2 (motorcycle) now $660 (still full coverage from the previous $360)
Vehicle 3 (motorcycle) $150 (no change)
Vehicle 4 (auto/newly added vehicle) $3300 (full coverage)

I'm trying to make sense of all of this how my yearly premium went up nearly $4500 additionally for the year for a total of $5500 premium.

I was already paid in full for my current vehicles and insured, adding a new vehicle bumped all of them up like crazy for something that was already insured and paid for.

What is going on?
