Will I get platinum elite benefits like early and late check in and room upgrades if I book through the Chase Travel portal? I have points on Chase that I can use but there are no rooms bookable on IHG for the dates I need using points. Only cash booking is available on IHG, unlike the Chase portal.
I found an IHG hotel on Chase travel in Europe for US $212/night more than the price at IHG.com with platinum elite status. Will Chase Travel match the price from IHG.com? On the website it says: member discount, book early and save.
If I book through Chase at the higher rate, will I still get IHG platinum elite status perks like early and late check in and room upgrades? Or no, since Chase Travel is a 3rd party agency?
If I book through Chase, I could use my Chase points too, and it would be nice if I can still get IHG platinum elite benefits.
I have zero IHG points and the rooms aren’t available on IHG via points. Only cash.
