From self doubt to 10 paying users in 4 days 🥹 Im actually shaking now 😭😭😭

Heyyy folks !! Founder of AskMeety here. 2 days ago, I had 4 paying customers, and today I have my first 10. From ideation to releasing beta to getting feedback to working on it and going live, it honestly feels unreal, and I still can’t believe I was able to do this. 😭

4 months ago, it was just me at night with a marker and a whiteboard, trying to figure out the architecture. Now seeing strangers use the app, pay for it, and praise features that came directly from early beta feedback feels unreal. That’s what helped me build something people are actually loving, and honestly, never skip beta testing and iterating on feedback, it made the product 10x better.

There were many doubtful nights, so many moments where I questioned whether this would even work, but something in me kept pushing me to get this done.

To build, ship, fix, and keep showing up.

And today, it feels like all of it was worth it.

I know many of us here are building something right now, doubting ourselves, hitting dead ends, and feeling like nothing is moving, but we got this.

Because the moment you see strangers trusting your product, actually paying for it, and finding real value in something you built, it hits differently.

So far, this has been my journey building AskMeety: https://askmeety.app

Still early, still improving every day, but today I’m just grateful. To everyone building something of your own, keep going !!! It’s all worth it !

We did itt ! 😭😭 4 paying users in one day

Founder of Askmeety here.. Today I saw the first few people pay for my product and honestly… I just stared at the screen for a minute.

Not because it was life changing money. Just because strangers trusted something that started as a personal frustration.

A few months ago, I started validating an idea across Reddit, forums, and Twitter seeing is people Would want AI meeting notes without sending conversations to the cloud.. and the response surprised me.

So I built a very rough MVP, asked for beta testers, and spent the next few months in constant back-and-forth cycles: ship - get feedback - fix bugs add requested features and repeat.

What worked:

- talking about the problem, not the product

- replying personally to every beta user

- shipping feedback fast

- staying transparent about what was broken

- Releasing on Producthunt, which gave some good traction.

What didn’t:

- trying to sound like a startup

- overbuilding before validation

That process slowly became AskMeety, a fully local AI meeting assistant for Mac with private on-device transcription, summaries, meeting search, and VisualWalk (a visual summary of meetings).

Still early. Still improving every day.

But seeing beta testers become actual paying customers feels surreal.

And again, thanks to everyone who kept supporting ! and to all the people who are building your own app, keep going ! And All the very best !!

Alright guys, I never expected a very overwhelming response for the past few months from everyone in this community ! I really have no words to thank everyone who contributed to my app, by early adopting and spending your real time in testing and giving the feedbacks, which really made us keep improving the app before going live. And yes, today is the day, we are officially going live with our app Askmeety.

So what's the problem we're solving? Most of us are drowning in back-to-back meetings. You walk out and half of it is already gone from your memory. Tools like Otter.ai or Fireflies do exist, but they work by sending a bot into your call which is awkward, raises privacy concerns, and often gets blocked by the other side entirely. And everything lives on their servers, not yours.

Askmeety is a completely offline and local, privacy based meeting notes taker app. You can literally join any meetings from any platform (even in-person meetings ; ) ) and walk away.. and Askmeety does the rest for you. No bots joining the call, nothing.. just the app living in your mac, recording the audio and screen (Visual Walk) and doing the rest for you. And at the end of the meeting, you have a very solid and depth notes from your meeting and can be exported with ease.

The unexpected thing was the responses to VisualWalk  feature, where the important sections of the meetings are captured smartly (instead of completely recoding the meeting video) and finally generating a blog styled summary, where you can go through the meeting visually. And after every meeting, what you have is a storage efficient and in depth information of the entire meeting. Its interesting that this is something, people genuinely loved and yes, we are working on improving it.

And Askmeety can auto-detect your meetings from Zoom, Teams, Gmeet, Webex, so that you are never missing any meetings. And also, you can chat across your meetings, search content across your meetings, and all the essential features are available.

Pricing starts from $35 for 6 months and a early bird sale of $45 for 1 year. We have launched Askmeety on producthunt too : https://www.producthunt.com/products/askmeety it would be great if you can drop an upvote too.

i would really appreciate everyone's honest feedback on the app and Im open for any constructive critisism too.. And once again.. thanks everyone : )

Hey folkss !

I just launched AskMeety on Product Hunt today.

It’s an AI meeting assistant that runs completely on your Mac and absolutely no cloud processing, no meeting bots, no sending sensitive conversations to external servers.

I built it because I hated the tradeoff with existing tools:
either stay focused in meetings and forget everything later, or take notes the whole time and miss the conversation itself. AskMeety handles transcription, summaries, follow-ups, and meeting search locally on-device. One feature I’m especially excited about is VisualWalk, it captures key visual moments from meetings and turns them into a clean, blog-style walkthrough.

If privacy matters to you, or you’ve ever walked out of a meeting remembering only half of it, I’d genuinely appreciate your support and feedback on Product Hunt

Alright folks, we really need your thoughts here !

Me and a couple of friends built a completely local, native macOS app (Askmeety) that records your meetings and handles the transcription, summaries, action items. We didn't launch it or anything, we were planning to doit via ProductHunt on the upcoming week.. Just showed it to a few colleagues last week and somehow 8 people we don't know bought it. Friends of friends I guess..

The thing is, we priced it really low on purpose and really wanted to be the affordable option from what the competitors are offering. But a couple of my friends said that this pricing looks too cheap and people won't trust it.. But we have put some real efforts for the past few months.

Have any of you experienced this? Where pricing something low actually worked against you? and also genuinely open to brutal feedback too.
