Looking for people who wanted to help me write my story named DEAD MAN'S TRANSIT
Hey everyone,
I’m looking for fellow writers and artists to collaborate on a comic project I’ve been building, with the long-term goal of developing it into something much larger (possibly even an adaptation down the line if it ever reaches that point).
Synopsis:
Richard Munden, a 29-year-old data analyst whose only drive in life is corporate ambition, suddenly finds his dreams come crashing down when a train accident leaves him dead and he awakens in a decayed, supernatural version of New York, caught between life and death.
Declared an anomaly by Death herself, he cannot be claimed and exists in a state of neither living nor dead. To escape this condition, he must survive seven trials in Hell to regain life.
To do so, he must also navigate Hell’s nine vast bureaucratic circles, each ruled by a Warden. Every circle functions differently, shaped like distorted human systems, contract law, administrative limbo, punishment, memory, identity. No two are the same, and survival means constantly adapting to a new logic of power.
After meeting Lilith in an outlaw’s pub, a charismatic but unreadable succubus bound to the system through her own contract, he forms a deal with her. She agrees to guide him through Hell in exchange for temporary freedom.
With a group of outlaws, Richard moves through Hell’s machinery, learning to survive its rules, its people, and its contradictions. As they descend deeper through shifting circles and the ever-present Wardens who enforce them, one question begins to haunt them all: in a system designed to erase humanity, what does it truly mean to be alive?
Tone / vibe: Noir + existential fantasy, heavy religious symbolism mixed with corporate dystopia. Visually leaning toward surreal, ornate decay with strong art nouveau influence, beautiful, oppressive, and symbolic.
I’m looking for people who want to build something serious together. writers, artists, world builders, and anyone who’s interested in pushing this into a fully realized project with real long-term potential.
If that resonates with you, feel free to reach out.
(P.s these artworks aren't mine it's a moodboard for the series)
Also this is hugely inspired by Dante's inferno so I hope that helps :>
