It burns me that that you are becoming ultra billionaires without actually providing us with good, useable, stable and affordable models. The 4.7 release and the nerfing of 4.6 leaves me paralyzed. I previously was able to achieve extraordinary progress in complex coding. Now it cannot do moderate changes to existing code. It frequently does incredibly stupid actions such as, when planning, not bothering to look at existing code (even when instructed to as part of its general instructions) thereby breaking working code. I am angry and frustrated.

WTF!
You do not deserve your IPO valuation!

I consider Opus 4.7 to be a disaster.
I’m sure you will get the next versions of Opus back on track at some point. In the meantime, please understand a reliable and stable version is absolutely required for serious development. Can you please keep 4.6 out of the deprication and nerfing schedule for at least a few months at a minimum? I need to work on my projects and not on adjusting to model changes.

Venting: I have a complex harness that runs agents that operates within Claude Code. I have had enormous advances in coding for many months. Now using 4.7 ruins everything it touches, 4.6 is a shadow of its former capabilities. Pinning versions and models only delays the agony of having to deal with the quirky changes and/or regressions.

I’m sick and fed up that Anthropic cannot provide a stable and reliable model. What does it take for Anthropic to wake the F up?

I want to blow $10K on an RTX Pro 6000 96GB and go local with Qwen or DeepSeek, just so I can have stability!

I want to dump ALL the cloud providers as much as possible and go open source. May the open source models reach frontier quality quickly 🙏

I’m sure I’m not alone (an understatement). I only see owning your own GPUs and opensource models as a real solution to escape the unreliability and constant higher trending pricing.
