Picket for fair wages and a fair union contract! 5/20 and 5/23 at Lewis Ginter Botanical Garden

*corrected flyer with updated parking information*

IMPORTANT: Call to Action! We are planning two more informational pickets for May 20 and 23. We need YOU, the Richmond community, to show up to help Lewis Ginter Botanical Garden workers get a contract with fair wages NOW. We want a strong turn out to show management that we are NOT backing down until we have a fair contract.

These will be heavily attended days for our expansion opening and will be the perfect opportunity to educate the public on our fight and to put pressure on the garden. Please share this flyer far and wide with friends, family, and supportive community groups!

Hello all, following up on our last post- we are so grateful for the support we have received! We recently created a petition that will go directly to the garden board and CEO to show the community's support as we've continued to wait for a fair union contract for over a year now. Read more at the link! Thank you for your support!

Hello everyone! For those of you who know us, we are staff at Lewis Ginter Botanical Garden who decided to unionize two years ago to address our unfair wages and working conditions. After a year and a half of negotiations, the Garden doesn't seem to agree that we deserve livable wages, so we finally picketed outside of the gate during the Garden's first concert series of the year. It's time to the pressure on.

We love the Garden and want it to be a great place for people to work, but people can't work without a living wage. If you support us in our unionization efforts, please join us in spreading support letting the garden know how you feel when you visit.

Thank you to everyone who supported us last night ♥️
