After-game ideas for FRLG

So, you've beaten the Elite Four - and rematched them?

Caught Mewtwo and all the other legendaries?

Won all the Trainer Tower prizes?

Maybe even completed the Pokedex?

There's still plenty you can do!

Collect all available items, including the elusive Lucky Egg on Chansey.

Enter the Hall of Fame 200 times to fill Lorelei's house with stuffed Pokemon. Doing so will also give you a special sticker. I'm personally creating an entirely new team tailored to beat the Elite Four.

You can also get a sticker for hatching eggs, a goal you can indirectly work towards by breeding your favorite Pokemon and sets which may only be obtainable as egg moves.

Also, I personally like playing the Trainer Tower with self-imposed rules for the challenge (instead of steamrolling through with a Sonic Boom Electrode or Dragon Rage Smeargle), seeing how low times I can get with a level 50 floor, 2 Pokemon limit, etc.

This isn't an exhaustive list. What aftergame projects are you working on, or have planned for the future?

I expected a hunt spanning days, possibly weeks, but I'm one lucky trainer!

Fifth Chansey total, all caught within the last hour, which is extremely lucky even without the Egg if I've understod the probabilities correctly.

Good luck in your Lucky Egg hunts.

Or whatever you wanna call it.

There's a big community around the Emerald Battle Frontier. Is there something similar (albeit much smaller) around the FRLG Trainer Tower? I'm aware of the cheap strategies (clever nevertheless) that let you steamroll the Trainer Tower. Level 5 Dragon Rage Smeargle for example.

But are there people here that speedrun through the Trainer Tower with self-imposed rules to prevent "exploits"? For example, a level 50 floor to prevent aforementioned shenanigans and similar strategies.

The idea of teambuilding for such a Trainer Tower run seems really exciting to me. Optimising sets, strategies and sequencing.

The trainer sets being predetermined means there probably is an optimal team for it. Or maybe there are several equally viable options. I'd love to find out with people on this community, but I don't even know if they exist.

With a team like this you don't even need to play well to win lol. (I usually dislike using legendaries, but Zapdos fit the team so perfectly and it's accessible early.)
