Really glad I found this sub, there doesn’t seem to much on the interweb about clover lawns, I’ve been using a facebook lawn group to add some type of record of my clover lawn progress.

This time last year my grass lawn was shocking, just clumps of grass, very bald like me, a lot of money, time and effort went into creating that utter disaster.

I was looking on my grass seed supplier’s website and saw clover seeds, I took a nervous gulp and ordered some. I added microclover to my lawn, it is brilliant, so at the moment it is a glover/grass lawn, I kinda regret not killing off the grass now and having a 100% clover lawn, but I would guesstimate that my lawn is 80% clover.

The first picture is a few weeks after sowing last year, the second picture was a few days ago.

I live in Lincoln UK 🇬🇧

So glad I found this sub 🍀 🍀🍀🍀🍀

**Edit - I’ve been looking through the photos on here, I see that most of you are from the USA, all your gardens are really quite big. I’m from the UK, and my garden is actually quite big for a garden in the UK these days.

You’re lucky to have such big gardens.

Hello

Our Mother suffered a stroke in July 2018, it looked like she was going to make some type of recovery but then she suddenly deteriorated due to “hospital acquired pneumonia” and died a few days later.

For reference our Mother was an incredibly family oriented person, she was all about family.

Following her passing we experienced many strange electrical occurrences.

We attended the funeral parlour to pay our last respects, her children (me included), her grandchildren, and her children’s partners were present. Whilst we stood there all of the lights in the room started to flash violently, it wasn’t flickering lights, it was full on flashing.

My Sister and I obviously went to our Mother’s apartment to sort out her affairs, whilst there the TV would turn on my itself, we were nowhere near the remote control, this happened a few times. I actually have the TV now and it’s never happened again.

Another time at her apartment the smoke alarm would go off by itself, even after changing batteries, there was no history of this as I did all her maintenance for her, and it didn’t continue after a month.

Another time I was at My Sister’s house and we started to argue about something, suddenly like at the funeral parlour her lights started to flash violently, that had never happened to her before, and it didn’t happen again.

There are some more electrical occurrences but that was the main ones, I did start to keep a log of everything as it was very noticeable.

All this happened for a month after her passing, then it just stopped.

Whist writing this it has brought back some other memories surrounding her passing that it might be worth mentioning. In her final few days in hospital she started seeing people I could not see, she would explain that a tall, slim man in a hat was sitting in the chair next to her bed. Another time she was looking at the corner of the room, she then pointed and said “those two don’t like me”, she wasn’t scared or anything, I was a bit freaked out mind.

Strangely the people she saw weren’t family members, it’s usually reported as family members, who knows how these things work…

Hello

I could write this at length but I will keep it as short as possible.

This is the only paranormal experience I’ve had, I’m 55 now, it happened when I was 18.

I live in the UK and way back when I was 18 a friend and I decided to go to Henley Regatta (rich people’s boating event) for the weekend, we used to find it fun to try and gatecrash these type of events, and maybe get some fee champagne, we were young and stoopid.

An acquaintance told us about an old abandoned house we could sleep rough in for a couple of nights in Henley and gave us basic directions from the train station. Eventually we found the house, it was a large dirty White House in it’s own grounds, two story, about 25 rooms in total, bare floorboards, the ground floor windows and doors were boarded up, apart from one window where the boards had been ripped off.

We entered the house through the window, once in we saw devil worship type symbols drawn on the floor with the melted remains of candles around them, we were a bit freaked out my this but it was daylight and we decided to stay, so we decided to find a room upstairs to sleep in, we chose a room furthest away from the ‘symbol room’. We dumped our sleeping bags etc in the room the headed into Henley for the regatta.

We returned to the house at roughly 01:00am, got back in and went up to our room, we got into our sleeping bags to get some sleep, my friend was asleep and I was lying there trying to doze off. I then started to hear footsteps coming down the corridor, the footsteps got closer and closer to our room, then they stopped right outside the door to our room. At this point my heart was beating out of my chest, I was waiting for the door to fly open or something, but that was it, nothing else happened, I must have laid there for a good 3 hours absolutely terrified, I think I did eventually get some sleep.

The house just had old bare creaky floorboards so I would have heard someone walk away, but nothing. I know it’s not the greatest of stories but it’s one that has stayed with me. Strangely I didn’t tell my friend about the occurrence at the time, I guess he just would have thought I was a loon…. but I always remember how terrified I was at the time, as I say it’s stuck with me.

Edit - I say it’s my only paranormal experience which isn’t 100% true, following our Mother’s death in 2018 we experienced many many strange electrical occurrences, but that’s another story….
