Is chafing or irritation at the band a sign of it being too loose or too tight? I have more soft tissue at my band that seems to push up when I sit.

My go to bra was the Panache Porcelain which was discontinued so now I’m in their Porcelain Elan 34DD. I can’t get a good fit in this bra no matter which size I try. ABTF calc says I’m a 32F. I’m also wearing Fantasie Fusion in 32E which feels good in the cups but the band is irritating and I need a smoothing bra for tshirts. I believe I have shallow breasts. Ultimately, I feel like my body is changing in perimenopause and I‘m not sure where to go from here.
