Blitz #A1957927 has been in and out of the shelter his whole life - needs foster, adoption or rescue by 4/4 - Van Nuys / Los Angeles, CA - transport possible

🚨EUTH LISTED: MUST BE SAVED BY 4/4🚨

BLITZ #A1957927 ❤️ is a 6-year-old, 73-pound pup who’s spent far too much of his life in and out of the shelter system since 2020. Despite that instability, his heart is still full of love and he’s ready to finally find a place to call home.

Whether it’s receiving all the pets, playing with his favorite toys, or enjoying some yummy treats, Blitz knows how to appreciate the good things in life.

Blitz can get a bit reactive to other dogs when passing kennel areas, and he’s shown that he can be selective in playgroups. He’s participated with a muzzle and can sometimes come on strong or be assertive, so he’ll need an experienced adopter who can continue guiding him with patience and consistency. Despite being in and out of the shelter, Blitz has always been loving to every human he meets.

What Blitz truly needs is stability, love, structure, and continued training to help him be his best self forever!

BLITZ ONLY HAS 2 DAYS LEFT 🚨

Please consider adopting, fostering, pledging and sharing to help save him.

Sweet shy girl Zena #A2262779 needs adoption , foster or rescue by 4/4/26 - Van Nuys / Los Angeles, CA - transport possible

🆘Sweet shy girl Zena #A2262779 needs adoption or rescue by 4/4/26🆘

Scheduled Euthanasia Date: 04/05/26

Spayed Female, Brown and Black German Shepherd

Shelter: East Valley Age: 8 years Weight: 72lbs

Has been at the shelter since 03/25/26

Reason for euthanasia: Behavioral concerns in the shelter

Zena’s world was turned upside down when her family brought her in after having her since she was 8 weeks old. (They had purchased her from a breeder.) She is avoidant of the leash but with some patience volunteers were able to gain her trust. Once out she walks well on leash and starts to trust and engage after a few minutes.

Her prior owners described her as house trained and friendly, playful with toys and well behaved when left alone. She’s crate trained but doesn’t like the crate. Zena knows some commands like sit, down and come but has not been able to show them off at the shelter.

She enjoys gentle pets and scratches and will stay close to you once she has warmed up. Zena is very curious and aware of her surroundings - she loves food and takes treats gently. She has not shown any barrier reactivity walking through kennels or at the fence.

Zena has only been in two playgroups - she’s described as tolerant but anxious; she gives appropriate greetings and corrections but mainly keeps to herself.

We’re just getting to know this sweet girl and she’s already out of time - can you help her?

Please come meet her at

Rex #A2257082 - needs adoption, foster or rescue by 4/4/26 - Van Nuys / Los Angeles, CA - transport possible

🆘Rex #A2257082 needs his hero by 4/4/26💔🆘

Scheduled Euthanasia Date: 04/05/26

Neutered Male, Brown German Shepherd Mix

Shelter: East Valley Age: 5 years Weight: 61 lbs

Came to the shelter as a stray on 02/16/26

Reason for euthanasia: Inflicted minor bite

Rex came in mid February as a stray. He unfortunately recently bit / nipped at a volunteer. The bite report speaks of a single bite as the volunteer was about to take Rex back from the yard to his kennel he rolled over and she pet him on his belly. Unfortunately he seemed to be have been uncomfortable with the situation and turned around and nipped at her leg. Shelter is listing it as multiple level 3 bites as opposed to what’s on the bite report.

Rex has been friendly with volunteers and staff prior and was a level 2 dog prior to the incident that got him onto the urgent list. He has a moderate pull when walking and appears to be house trained. Rex knows sit and takes treats gently. He starts out a bit aloof and loves to sniff and explore the yard. Once he has warmed up a bit he enjoys pets and scratches.

Rex likes belly rubs but as with any dog does not like feeling crowded or trapped. In playgroup he has been tolerant - he mingles but likes to hump.

Rex deserves another chance at a happy ending - can you help?

Please come meet him at

Queenie #a2250993 needs adoption, foster or rescue by 4/4 - Van Nuys / Los Angeles, CA - transport possible

‼️EXTREMELY URGENT EUTH LISTED FOR 4/5. Must be saved by 4/4‼️

There aren’t enough words to describe just how special Queenie #a2250993 is but I hope this video shows you a portion of her beauty.

She is a smart girl with a lot to offer. She could be your running companion. Travel companion. Park buddy, and cuddle bug. She rides well in the car, loves to be touched and wants to explore everything!

She could definitely use some additional training and guidance to help her navigate the world along side of you. She takes treats gently, loves to play and finds squirrels to be very interesting.  Who can blame her.

She’s selective with other dogs and (refined taste) and might be better suited to a single dog home.

She’s a wonderful girl who has so much to offer and desperately needs out of the shelter. Please consider my friend for adoption, foster or rescue.
