The last 40 years has been a huge duopoly. DMK and ADMK have been milking the state dry for building their own wealth. Our metrics are good but not nearly enough to propel us into a developed state. A change is long overdue and Vijay seems to have clinched it at the right time. He has no experience, no agenda and yet, our people are deep into hero worship and fandom; it's frankly appalling that our people don't look beyond on screen theatrics and mass moments to decide who they want as their next leader. BUT, it's time that DMK and ADMK duopoly ended. It's definitely worth giving another candidate a shot and the next 5 years will clearly decide whether Vijay is worthy or not. It's no cause for concern as of now, cause whether good or bad, we'll get another chance in 5 years. It's simply a case of picking the lesser poison for now.
