i think i like my friend, help me
So basically the story is kind of complicated. Few years ago i went to the US for like 6 months and went to school there. I met him and he was really interested in me, asking me about stuff. We had a great connection tho we didn't even hung out once. There was this situation where he said "i like you" but in different language that none of us really speak (tho i recognized it). I've already liked him but was kinda out of my mind that day and sort of ignored it.
Then after some time we kind of started to drift apart, however as I was leaving we said a proper goodbye to each other.
After i left we didn't talk to each other at all, for 8 months i didnt text him and he also didn't.
Then, on valentines day, a year ago he randomly texted me that he is going to work in europe. I acted like nothing happened and just texted him back. Since then we have been friends, tho i had a crush on him AGAIN. Then he got a girlfriend but from what my friends told me, he was bored and she just got broken up with (she was crazy btw but thats not the point). They broke up because of his travel to europe.
Since then we have been talking casually, like friends, tho sometimes he takes forever to respond. But there was this situation where he randomly called me ( we had never called before)bc he was really nervous and he needed support? Then after a while of not having his phone he called me like milion times bc i wasnt responding (i was sleeping).
Every time when i feel like moving on ( mostly bc i think he will never text me again, but ig that's a me problem) he texts me or asks me if i want to call. Few days ago we had a really great conversation and he really gave me support and since then i'm going crazy about it.
As i'm writing this, most of these situations sound like a friendship but what makes me think there might be something more to it, is this situation when he said he liked me and that random ass text one year ago.
ALSO I CANT JUST ASK HIM BC IT WOULD RUIN THE FRIENDSHIP LITERALLY WHAT DO I DO
i forgot to mention im from europe, but we are in different countries
