SSD Controller Died, Advice on Getting New SSD vs Competely New PC Build

DISCLAIMER: I'm not knowledgeable at all about pc parts or pc building, so please correct me if there are any discrepancies or if I'm incorrectly naming parts :)

Today after going to see a computer specialist, I found out my SSD controller chip broke. I was just going to buy a new SSD, but with the huge rise in price of SSDs recently, I was unsure if should rather just start from scratch and buy parts to build a completely new pc.

Since I bought my pc secondhand, I'm not actually sure if my other PC parts are outdated yet, so I was wondering whether it would be worth it to just buy all new parts and make a completely new build, or just buy a new SSD chip and keep the other parts.

My Current PC Specs:

I couldn't identify my current CPU cooler, but it looks similar to the SMX-CPUCRI-120

If I am recommended to just get a completely new build, these are my requirements:

Budget: ~2000CAD (preferably less, but quality of parts matters more to me and I'm willing to pay more than the budget if it means the pc will last me a long time)
Use-Case: Mostly gaming (mostly mid-high performance games like Cyberpunk 2077, FPS games, etc) and occasionally schoolwork
Country of purchase: Canada
Peripherals needed: Possibly a new monitor (I currently have an AOC model I2479VHE6, the refresh rate is like 60HZ)
Any other requirements/preferences: I'm not really particular on appearances/aesthetics, more concerned about longevity of the parts!

If I should just buy a new SSD, if I could get some sturdy SSD recommendations that would be great!

If I'm missing information, please let me know! I would seriously appreciate any advice anybody gives me.
