10 mg for daily chronic headache
I’ve been taking 10mg amitriptyline for almost 2 weeks now for chronic hadached I’ve had all my life. It’s like constant pressure and heaviness in my head for as long as I can remember but I can function and have lived like this since I can remember and wouldn’t really say it’s painful just bothersome.
Thing is it does worsen and can even turn into a migraine though not super frequent. My headache can be like it’s pounding overall, like someone is piercing me behind the eye with an icepick or something, more intense pounding on one side. I only call it a migraine if I can’t function, get very nauseous, can’t sleep due to the pain, have to lie down in the dark and quiet. I got prescribed sumatriptan for when I get a migraine attack. The ami is for the daily.
But I have yet to notice any difference.
Has it helped any of you for daily headaches?
