My spin on doughe-goji.

My spin on doughe-goji.

Doodled this guy on the back of a sheet of isometric paper during my downtime in class while I’m in school for my Pipefitters apprenticeship.

The idea of this design was to combine the traits of Gareth Edwards design with the idea that Dougherty had when he made KOTM.

While I appreciate the fan-service and making his spines look like the ones from 1954, I feel like they look too out-of place on his body. Each plate is meant to have the exact same amount of jagged points as the original doughegoji design, but upward facing and sharper angles like they were in 2014.

On top of that, I increased the size of his head compared to the rest of his body, shortened his arms, and extended the length of his tail back into a sharp point rather than a blunt tip.

Lemme know what you guys think! The next drawing idea will possibly be a sputore-goji/post evolved Godzilla design.

The fishing gods really don't want me catching Muskie on the fox…

In the past 6 days fishing around downtown Batavia. I have lost2 Muskie. One on Sunday around 36 who snapped me off on a rapala, and the same story today but on a Mach-shad. Both where on 20 Lb braid. (shame on me for no leader).

I've been fishing the fox routinely for years now as I live in aurora. The Montgomery dam has given me plenty of giant smallies, and even my PB Pike, but never a Muskie. Yorkville is the same story.

I've never caught one at 22 years old. And now I've hooked, fought, and lost two Muskie in less than a week…is this my fate?! What do I gotta do to give myself a better chance??

I’ve had a hard time trying to figure out how to ask this sort of question. But everyday on the morning and evening doomscroll it’s the same old story. From your ultra maga parents crying on Facebook to the occasional “Illinois policy” slopoganda. We hear the same thing over and over again.

“Worst state in the nation.” “Taxes are too high”. “This state is bankrupt” “controlled by corrupt democrats” “your governor is fat”. “Chicago has destroyed the state”. So on and so forth. Whenever someone criticizes this state, it’s the same thing.

I’m a young Illinoisan, in my 20s, lived here my whole life, and recently became an apprentice for Local Pipefitters 597 (now going into my second year). I love my state even with the flaws that is has.

So I want to know, to all the people out there that find themselves getting into political engagements where people are trash talking our state, what exactly do you bring up or say to counter their points?
