Electric Bike Suggestions

Hey Reddit.

I have decided to start a top secret mission to obtain an Electric Bike for my friend. He had discussed buying one as it'd allow him to have an easier time traveling across the city, as his current occupation is on the opposite side of town from the side that he lives on. He usually rides the city bus to get there. But since the city bus system in our area is undergoing a huge series of alterations, this may not be an option right now. I realize that he said he'd buy it himself. But as his friend and someone that has seen how dedicated he is to showing up to all his shifts in order to support his mother and seeing how he swallow being called in on his off days with a smile. I want to do this for him.

I'm not really sure the type of Electric Bike that I should be searching up. I want the bike to be reliable and easily repairable. But ideally I want it to be the type that doesn't need to be repaired often and can weather constant use and abuse without folding. I want it to be a comfortable ride, and ideally to have space to store a medium-sized EDC bag or binder without worrying that it'll be dropped or fall out during the ride. I want it to have the type of power that can allow someone to put most of the effort on the bike during extended rides, allowing them to rest while the bike generates most of the necessary power so that he doesn't have to wear himself out as he's peddling it. It'd be nice if it had lights, since he may be traveling on roads. Having the ability to shift gears will be nice too.

I can't really think of any other requirements. So I'll summarize the ones that I have here and add others as they come to me.

  • a reliable e-bike.
  • a easily repairable e-bike.
  • an e-bike that can survive heavy use and abuse.
  • an e-bike that is comfortable during extended rides.
  • an e-bike that has space to carry medium sized bags without worrying about them being dropped.
  • an e-bike that can provide sufficient or adequate power to allow the user to not tire themself out during extended rides across the city.
  • an e-bike with reflective lights.
  • an e-bike that can gear shift.

I'm not a millionaire. So it'd be nice if it was under $1000 and even better if there's an e-bike that meetd my criteria under $500. He's into motorcycles and motorbikes. So discovering an e-bike with a similar appearance is a huge bonus.

If you have any advice, suggestions or can point me in the (right) direction of the type or types of e-bikes that I ought to be researching and considering, I'd really appreciate it. I appreciate your time!

Cheers!

Best Music Streaming App?

Hey Reddit.

I have been on a mission to discover the most full featured and the most customizable third-party music app on Android. I appreciate a modern UI too. I have tried various apps such as ViMusic and RiMusic. Kreate and ViVi Music. It seems that due to various reasons. (Being discounted or not maintained in an active manner. Not being optimized in 2026 and etc.) Many of these apps are not usable in 2026.

  • Power User Feature Set
  • Full Featured
  • Organization and Sorting Features
  • Customizability
  • Modern UI

These are my criteria!

Are there any apps that I am not aware of or that I ought to try, that fill these power-user criteria in 2026?

"Rainbow Sherbet." (Minimaa Setup Contest. Submission #3.)

Hi! I designed this one to be more minimalistic. I can see the time from far away without having to interact with my phone. I can read the date underneath it in a format that is neat and easy to read. Beneath that I have the music controller. It isn't fancy, or fighting for attention. But it allows me to have easy access to the audio that I'm listening to. I can rewind, pause and unpause, and fast forward, right there from my homescreen.

Beneath that we have my most used apps, all organized into a neat listed format so that I can pull up the app that I need to access without even having to think about it, straight from memory of the list. It means that I never have to visit the app drawer and get caught up in anything unimportant. I stay productive, and efficent, while Minimaa stays the best minimalistic homescreen creator on the market.

I used a gradient wallpaper off of Pinterest.

"Pomogrante Molasses." (Minimaa Setup Contest. Submission #2.)

Here's one of my favorite setups. It has the important information (the WiFi signal, the battery level, the time, the date and the ability to control my music right there on the homescreen, meaning that I don't have to sort through different apps time and time again. All I have to do is view my homescreen and I'll have access to all of the important information that I may need.

At the bottom. I have easy access to all of my most important apps, sorted by their level of use, so that the most used apps are on the top and the least used important apps are on the bottom to easily be reachable.

Yet again demonstrating the way that Minimaa allows me to create alluring setups that show my personality without the unnecessary features that come with other launchers and even other minimal launchers.

"Passion Fruit." (Minimaa Setup Contest. Submission #1.)

I designed this homescreen setup to show my appreciation that Minimaa allows me to design setups that are physically interesting and visually intriguing, a way to personalize my phone without inheriting the constant temptation to use it over and over again at times that I don't need to. I don't get caught up in millions of notifications or hundreds of missed calls and unread messages. I'm not tempted to use and abuse to privilege of having a handset device. But I still retain a small amount of personalization that allows me to turn my homescreen into a setup that really represents the way I see my phone.

It represents the way that I view my phone as a tool and not as a toy. And the barebones widgets allow me to see all the important information right there on the homescreen, without having to dig through various apps and wade through dubious distractions.
