So with the release of the new trailer, we see in one scene this pair of doppelgängers that look like Liko and Dot with the Mega Raichus. At this point I’m convinced that the writers are well aware that Liko and Dot are the only ones who haven’t gotten Mega Evolution and are turning the fact into a joke
