Eb's And Flows Of Day To Day Indie Webtoon Creators!
I've been thinking about my daily Webtoon making process. I'm currently entering the grind zone where I set myself a task list for the day and at the end of the day I either cross it off or I don't and when I get up the next day I scrap the work I did the day before and try again. sometimes the angle I'm trying to draw just isn't working.
Other days I completely fail to simply open the program and start drawing. 😅
When I'm starting a new file to make an episode, I get excited and anxious for few days! so much so that I lose sleep over it. then I crash hard. inking and flat colors panel after panel become the daily grind for me. I recently added a medium white board behind my office door, so that I can see some progress at the end of the day. It helps me stay somewhat motivated.
At the same time I started developing a series of 10 videos I want to make for my YouTube channel while I work on panels. I can't talk about it to much but due to my program struggling with more than 10 panels at a time, I'm limited. I'm also trying to improve my video editing, witch is also the most boring part of having a YouTube channel 😅 its just as bad as doing Self-Promotion... I F@*!ing hate doing it. but its part of the job.
Now that I've overshared my day to day life as and indie webtoon creator, I'd love to hear from other creators on Canvas. I'm interested in how different webtoon creators work to create there episodes and how they battle the grind of creating. what do you struggle with, and what are the easiest parts for you? how do you stay motivated through the hardest part? What's it really like to be a Webtoon Canvas creator! lets keep it chill with real vibes. ✌️😊
No venting please.
