Is this some kind of ritual followed by RR teammates? Why do they keep dropping catches?
Over the last few matches, Jofra Archer has been doing phenomenal work, but his teammates haven’t been supporting him well in the field.
I’m not blaming Yashasvi Jaiswal for yesterday’s dropped catch, but what about not having a slip in the starting overs? The same thing happened against KKR and SRH. That dropped chance of Rinku Singh — where Dhruv Jurel had to go for it — cost RR two points. Then there were dropped catches of Travis Head and Abhishek Sharma. These are the areas where RR really needs to improve.
I believe after the next match against GT, RR will get some time to recover from the tight schedule and work on their fielding.
To win the IPL trophy, RR needs to back their players, stay positive, and enjoy fielding without pressure.
