I’ve had this rash on my temples for a long time - would love any advice you may have to deal with it. This is it right after a shower, it’s usually slightly less red.

I’ve seen 2 dermatologists for it, the first didn’t give me any diagnosis, the second said it’s keratosis pilaris & there is “nothing I can do”. He prescribed retinol for it, which didn’t seem to help much if I’m honest. It’s been really bad for the last little bit, & I just want some suggestions honestly. Any one had any luck with any treatments? It’s been a rather stressful time in other aspects of life, so maybe that affects it? I have no idea

My current routine is I wash with Cetaphil Hydrating Cream-to-Foam cleanser, then spray hypochlorous acid (which doesn’t seem to affect it either way) & apply Byoma Barrier Repair Treatment as a moisturizer. I just purchased Avene Redness Expert Soothing Moisturizing Concentrated Cream but have only been using it for a few days. For SPF I used La Roche Posay Anthelios Mineral 50 SPF & recently bought Nudestix Nudescreen Daily Mineral Veil 30 SPF to see if switching SPF would help. So far it hasn’t but it’s only been a few days.

I’ve also tried Byoma sensitive retinol oil which seems to help a tiny bit but so small I’m not even sure if it helps. Also I’ve tried Good Molecules Niacinamide Serum. But I think all the experimentation was also upsetting it so I put these away for now.
