Beginner questions
Hi!
I got these guys today while setting up a little cat TV tank. I find the snails more interesting than the fish, so these guys are for me and the fish are for my baby, but it’s my first time having a fish tank since I was maybe 7 and I have no clue on proper care for them. I’ve done some research since getting home and settling them in, but I have just a couple questions. I was told they’re mystery snails, for context, and their names are Slip (blue) and Slide (black).
I didn’t realize they needed their own food so I’ve ordered some to be delivered tomorrow. Will they be alright until then or should I try to sink some fish food for them?
I got them BugGraze TM “complete diet pellets, wafers, and granules”, which is supposed to be fortified with calcium and other vitamins. Will that be an appropriate food for them? Is there anything I should be getting in addition to it or is it really a complete diet?
Blue buddy (Slip) has a little misshaping/discoloring/crackling on the opening of his shell (mantle, I believe?). Does it look like something to be concerned about or am I overthinking it? I do trend to the worrier side of the spectrum 😅
