Hey everyone,

I’m trying to optimize my GeForce Now setup on NVIDIA SHIELD, but I’m still getting noticeable input delay and can’t pinpoint the cause.

I live in Brazil.

Setup:

  • NVIDIA SHIELD (Ethernet – 300 Mbps, stable)
  • Samsung TV (UN65RU7100G – 2019) via HDMI
  • GeForce Now native app
  • Controller: GameSir G7 Pro (connected to SHIELD)
  • Ultimate Membership (the best option in Brazil)

Issue:

  • Input lag is annoying in every game.
  • Playable, but not “snappy”
  • Feels like a delay between input → on-screen action

What I’ve checked:

  • Wired and stable internet
  • Every graphic setting, from lowest to highest. Everything runs smoothly.
  • Every game, from old games with low demand to Crimson Desert
  • Brazil has only one serve available
  • Low network congestion

What I’m trying to figure out:

  1. Is this just normal cloud gaming latency, even with a good setup?
  2. Could the Samsung TV (2019) still be adding meaningful input lag?
  3. Could the GameSir G7 Pro be introducing extra delay vs wired/other controllers?
  4. Any key SHIELD settings I should tweak (resolution, AI upscaling, frame rate)?

If anyone has a SHIELD + GFN setup that feels close to local, I’d love to know what made the difference.

Thanks 🙏
