Hey all, finally looking to pick up my own iPad Pro and I have a couple of questions. Done a fair bit of looking around and research, but want a final little gut check before I pull the trigger.
Looking at getting an 11" iPad Pro 512gb. My use case is pretty much a bit of everything. I work in photography/videography, so media and a great screen is super important to me, hence the OLED on the Pro. I plan on using this for the usual web browsing and whatnot on the sofa, note-taking during meetings, and reviewing content/marking up with notes from my team. I also travel quite a bit, so having a great screen for watching shows/movies on planes and in hotels, having this be a second screen for my MBP, using it for basic design sketches, and editing handfuls of RAWs in Lightroom at a time would also be top of mind. I think I'd value the portability of the 11" over the real estate of the 13", but would love to hear from folks with similar use cases if they found a 13" was more useful or vice versa.
I am hoping that this will be a long term device (5-7 years, if not more lol, would be ideal). Is that a reason to jump to the 1TB to get the 16gb of RAM for longevity sake? I don't think I'd ever fill 1TB. I would typically be doing one task at a time on this thing, so not a ton of crazy multi-tasking.
Seems like I've got options in terms of WHERE to purchase. I have a local Microcenter which has 11" 512gb models for about $120-130 off. I have a costco that's like $50 off MSRP and the usual Costco warranty goodness. Best Buy and Apple stores also nearby. I think either way I'd definitely get AppleCare. Is there any reason to not go with MicroCenter since they have the best pricing?
Any other things I might not be considering in terms of iPad experiences, purchasing, accessories, other things I might not be considering, etc? Thank you!
