Hey,
So I built an expensive PC last year, and I'm potentially going to be travelling between the UK & US a lot in the future for long periods.
I know a gaming laptop would be better for me now, but I can't really justify spending that amount of money on an equivalent laptop, plus I've had one before and I hate battling overheating, lack of upgrade potential etc.
I'm thinking of disassembling my PC and rebuilding once I get to my destination, as long as I can find a good packing solution I can use to carry the components on a plane.
I'm also thinking of using an open-air case, almost like a basic flat board I can just build it on and take it apart easily. I'm aware of problems with dust etc that this will have, but I'll just be blowing it out every so often with air.
Does anyone have any recommendations for something like this, and are there any thoughts on the viability? I'm aware I'm risking damage when travelling - but that's a seperate thing I have to think about.
