Coping Mechanisms Anyone?

Hey everyone! I was thinking of coping strategies and how they are different for everyone. There are common ones like taking a walk, talking to someone, engaging in a hobby, etc. But I've also heard some effective ones that aren't used as much. For example: Someone I know in passing struggles with severe suicidal depression and the thing that keeps them going is that they want to beat the all time snap chat streak. They get on Snapchat once a day, snap their friend, and get off.

Personally I use tamagotchis. Yes, the digital pets from the 90s. Bandai came out with the rerelease in 2018 shortly before my tenth birthday and I bought one! It's been nearly eight years since then and I still keep em going. Obviously they die after 1-3 weeks (though the one on the right lives longer because it's a newer and different make) but I find comfort in the fact that I can always try again.

I guess I see it as: if I can keep these guys alive I can surely keep myself alive. I carry them with me everywhere and pull them out when I get stressed so I can check on them.

So my question is: Does anyone else have unusual coping mechanisms/things that help get them through the day? Feel free to share them!

Am I cheating?

Hi i have a really high count of scrobbles in less than a year. After posting them, people kept commenting that I was cheating (which I didn't think you could do for some reason?) so I looked into it and it is pretty high.

I'm a high schooler but due to accomodations I spend most of my time alone in classrooms with my headphones on, when I'm driving my music is on my speaker, at school clubs I'm in I play background music for the other members, I also sleep with music on at night as I've done since I was little. At home I don't know all much with my parents so I'm usually in my room listening to music and studying/writing. I'm actually listening to music right now lol.

In the summer my scrobbles count isn't as high because I'm working or out with friends so most of my music will be at night again.

Is this cheating? I don't feel like it is but I could be wrong. Should I use YouTube so I won't scrobble as much? I don't use it often because I hate the ads and I'm not paying for premium or whatever.

Idk what are your guys opinions?

My Babies

Hi I'm (17) new here but I got my tomogachi when I was 10 and got two more soon after (one unfortunately lost in the movie 💔) I absolutely adore the little guys but just got back into them recently. It might be a controversial opinion but I really only like the original gen 1 and gen 2 tomogatchis (but I will say the paradise tomogatchis has been calling to me 👀). I have two but the galaxy one (my favorite...) has gotten pretty old and glitchy and the buttons don't work like they used to. I know my collection isn't the coolest, but I love them and I'm glad to join the sub! I'm thinking of buying another tomorrow for nostalgias sake (and because the galaxy (affectionately named Laika) had reached its end).

That's all! Thank you for reading :)

Hey I (17) was recently diagnosed with Bipolar and was wondering if anyone else here was diagnosed as a teen. If so, where are you in life now? Are you happy/satisfied?
