COMM 221 Final Exam..
I knew this class was going to be hard, but nobody warned me HOW hard. This class literally gave me PTSD from Math 209. I’m honestly making this post for anyone planning to take COMM 221 next semester: please do not underestimate this class. You cannot survive by trying to study everything in the last month while balancing your other finals. Forget it. This is the kind of class where you need to practice every single week and actually get comfortable with the concepts as you go. And mind you I bought Checkmark for the weeklies and mock exams, and don’t get me wrong tutorials explained things well and all but I think my biggest mistake was not doing enough consistent practice on my own. This class is all about repetition. They make it sound easier by saying the final is “only 20 multiple choice, plus 3 long questions” but those multiple choice questions are full of traps. Half of them aren’t just one simple calculation—they take multiple steps, and if you get stuck on one part, you lose so much time. And the long answer questions? Don’t even get me started. Yes, the teacher gave us an idea of which concepts to focus on, but the actual questions can vary so much. There are so many different ways they can ask the same topic, and that’s what makes it so brutal. I’m genuinely shocked at how unnecessarily hard this class is. How did everyone else feel about the final? Was it just me, or was that exam absolutely insane?
