Again, they didn’t even try to ring the doorbell/knock…

I have a smart doorbell that sends notifications to my phone when someone rings the bell or it detects movement. Once again the Aus Post driver failed to ring or knock. How do I know? I got the notification that movement was detected and I saw it was a delivery. I stupidly thought they would ring the bell so I didn’t rush to the door. I quickly realised they weren’t going to bother ringing/knocking so I literally ran to open the front door just to see the driver putting it back in their van. I was outside at this point walking towards the van as they climbed into the driver seat, I tried to get their attention by saying “hello!” but she just looked at me and ignored me. I was waving her down and saying “you have my parcel” - she looked straight at me and drove off. A second later I got the ‘Attempted Delivery’ notification.

I really thought Aus Post couldn’t get any worse but they just love to prove me wrong time and time again. I should have known better than expecting them to do the basics of their job such as ringing the doorbell or knocking on the door. I should have also known better than to not run when I got that first movement detected notification.

I’ve submitted a complaint already but also just needed to rant!

Ladies frame vs normal frame?

I started cycling using a Scott ladies road bike I purchased off Facebook Marketplace to see if I would actually enjoy cycling and use the bike enough to justify spending a few grand on a brand new one. Well, safe to say I more than enjoy it and I’m ready to start looking into a brand new bike. I’m now stuck on whether to buy a ladies specific frame (Liv seems to be the only brand available in store where I live in Western Australia) or to just shop for all frames and hope the dimensions on one that isn’t ladies specific fits me. I’m not sure whether doing a bike fit first would help to find a bike that would be the right size?

Has anyone else had this dilemma? Or does anyone have some advice? Is there a bike you recommend? I don’t want to drop a few grand on a bike just to regret it or wish I had gone for something else.

I am short (158cm) with long legs but a short torso. I’m averaging 50-60km rides at this point with hopes to build that up. I cycle for exercise and leisure with no plans to enter any events.
