I have a brother CS7000i that is around seven years old. Over the past few months, it has started (seemingly randomly, unrelated to fabric type or any kind of change I’ve made while sewing) suddenly deciding to sew in whatever direction with whatever stitch length it wants. Any number of the following issues will happen:
-will not backstitch, instead will take tiny stitches forward or in place when I hit the reverse button.
-regardless of the stitch length I have selected, it will only make very long stitches
-this is a new one I experienced as of today: will only stitch in reverse, despite me using the foot pedal and not hitting the reverse button
Video shows testing on a piece of scrap cotton spandex jersey with a stretch needle, but it also does this with wovens etc (i.e. I have not been able to narrow down any potential triggers for this problem). It is currently making the longest possible stitch forward despite being set at 3.5, and making shorter stitches forward instead of backstitching.
I’ve tried to just work around this until now as this is not the main machine I use. In the past I have sometimes been able to solve it by turning the machine on and off (but sometimes this does not work). I have removed the needle plate and bobbin housing to thoroughly clean out any lint hiding, and lowered and raised the feed dogs. Has anyone experienced this before, or is my machine just cooked? I’m guessing it could be something with the computerized components, in which case, is it worth having it serviced/would they even be able to do anything about it?
I’ve spent almost a decade breastfeeding and/or being pregnant and having weaned my youngest, wanted to finally get some real bras that fit! My measurements are:
Loose Underbust: 32 (note: I got 30 the first time I measured but the next two times got 32, so that’s what I stuck with)
Snug Underbust: 29
Tight Underbust: 28.5
Standing Bust: 36
Leaning Bust: 38
Lying Bust: 36
I settled on the Chantelle Comfort Chic Plunge in 32E and thought this fit well at first. However, after I wear it for a while, my boobs start to shift and pop out of the center. In the store I also tried on a 32F and thought that it was too big, but willing to go back and try again (or maybe go down a band size? Or try on other style/size suggestions?). I think my breasts are center full (left is larger than right), projected? Very saggy and soft 😬 Definitely having trouble figuring some of this shape stuff out. Pics show when I first put the bra on and then how my breasts shift while wearing (creates a quad-boob that can be seen through my shirt). It’s comfortable—the straps are just slightly wide for me.
