I’ll be going to Japan at the end of the year and will be getting a session with a local tebori artist for a tattoo (my very first) roughly the size of my palm.

My question is: what’s your recommendation for placement? I love the idea of my right foot (dorsal) or beneath my arm, between elbow and armpit. I’d like it to be somewhere that isn’t too visible but isn’t going to become a huge irritation if I have to get the tattoo 2-3 days before I leave Japan.

I’m very new to tattooing so any advice is appreciated.

I would really like to make a reservation at the Hotel Mets Akihabara since I will be going in December. The website says that online reservations can be made 6 months in advance while phone reservations can be made up to 1 year prior. I’ve tried calling their number (+81 3-5294-6331) but I keep being told (in Japanese) that the call can’t be completed. My questions are: 1. how can I contact them and 2. Is this pointless since I know VERY little Japanese
