No updates for 5 days on CA to Manhattan Ground shipment (Scheduled for tomorrow)

It's very much like from the title, according to the travel history, the last update was:

  • May 6, 11:07 AM: Departed FedEx location (SACRAMENTO, CA)

Since then there hasn't been a single scan or update for 5 full days.

The scheduled delivery date is tomorrow (tuesday 5/12), but it hasn't even hit a hub on the East Coast yet. Is it normal to have zero updates for 5 days? I really need to get this package within tormorrow

Hi everyone, I’m in a nightmare situation right now and could really use some advice/success stories.

I’m starting my internship at Google this summer. My internship contract ends on August 21st.

  1. The Issue: Originally, my school’s Experience Center confirmed that I could get CPT authorization until August 25th (the day before Fall classes start). However, today they suddenly informed me that their policy changed and they capped the Summer CPT at August 16th (the last day of the Summer term).

  2. The "Solution" from School: They told me I have to work until Aug 16th on my current CPT, then submit a NEW ELA (extension request) in mid-July to cover the remaining days (Aug 17–21) as part of the Fall term. They confirmed I am authorized to work until the 21st, but they just can't issue a single I-20 covering the whole period right now.

  3. The Crisis: My I-9 verification is next week. I currently have an I-20 that ends on Aug 16, but my offer letter says Aug 21.

  4. Current Status: I’ve emailed the Google Onboarding/Immigration team explaining this "Split CPT" situation, but they haven't responded yet and my case was routed to a "Partner team" for review.

My Questions:

• Has anyone at Google or other Big Tech companies been allowed to proceed with I-9 verification using an I-20 that is shorter than the contract, provided that an extension will be processed later?

• Does Google typically allow "Split CPT" (two separate I-20s for one internship)?

• I absolutely do not want to shorten my internship. Is it likely that Google's legal/immigration team will accept the school's explanation and let me start?

I’m incredibly stressed because this was a last-minute change by the school. Any similar experiences would be helpful.
