Hi everyone, I’m 19 going on 20 this year and I’ve got some really bizarre things with my period, I’m not sure if it’s something I should look into further or if I’m just being dramatic and it’s normal so if anyone else has had similar problems or knows someone who has please let me know. For about six months I had an extremely irregular period and when I say extremely irregular I mean I’d have my period for sometimes WEEKS at a time and maybe get three or two days break, not only that but the blood clots were a very regular thing, I’d get many in a day and a lot of them were not normal sized, another thing to note is that my period was also extremely heavy at times, I would have a tampon and pad on and within an hour it would bleed through to the pad. This was up until just over two months ago, one night I had a random anaphylaxis ( I don’t have any known allergies ) and so naturally I got adrenaline shots was in hospital you get the drill, once I got out of the hospital the next day my period was EXTREMELY heavy like I bled through all layers of my bed all the way down to the mattress, this went on for about a few days and then my period stopped, it’s been two months and I haven’t had my period since.
Some important things to note that you may be wondering:
-I don’t have a partner nor do I have sex. I am a virgin.
- I did end up going to the doctor because my period was becoming too much for me to handle and took a toll on my mental health, I was prescribed the pill which was supposed to make my period more regular and hopefully less heavy.
- I took this pill for about four days before going into anaphylaxis, when I took it I did notice I felt abit unwell and dizzy but I thought maybe it was just in my head since I really am not a fan of taking pills.
- I stopped taking this pill after my anaphylaxis since it was one of the only things that could have caused my anaphylaxis and have not taken any pill since.
