I need some advice on a balayage I recently received. I saw a promotion for a full color service or balayage, cut, with style and decided to go for it so my hair would be nice for an upcoming trip. I requested something not too drastic that blended well and with a good root that could grow out looking nice and natural. As always the stylist advises that a balayage would look the most natural and grow out the best. I always emphasize that I wear my hair up a lot and for that reason want it to look good when in a ponytail or back in a hair clip. I feel like whenever I say this it just gets ignored because I end up with 1 or 2 huge highlighted stripes when my hair is pulled back. This has happened with multiple different stylists as I have moved cities so I don’t know how to best communicate that I don’t want what looks like two huge racing stripes on the sides of my head like I feel like it appears right now or one down the middle as it has appeared in the past. How better can I explain this? I have really fine hair so I don’t know if that makes a big difference when it comes to balayage and had not touched it for over 9 months. I also feel like my hair just looks overall not natural or very blended after getting home and taking some photos of the back. Does this look bad? Can this be fixed? I have attached the reference/inspo photos at the end.
